The Courage to Work for Yourself
Never settle.
Work for yourself and never settle for standard issue:
- Coffee
- Equipment
- People
Many of my clients were former employees that decided to start their own life. Accepting lower standards or standards that don’t meet your quality or ethical standards results in a dearth of satisfaction.
I don't believe in work/life balance.
Work is part of life.
There is no "weekend" or "weekday" for me.
I always look for ways to further integrate work I do into my lifestyle.
Questions never asked: “What day is today?" “Is it hump day?"
Statements never spoken: "Friday's almost here!" "Someone has a case of the Mondays."
Do you feel the same? Or are you currently happy in your role as an employee? Let me know.
Some Motivation for those on the Entrepreneur Journey
Inaction will make you soft and fearful. Your goals will suffer. Write a plan. The first plan probably won't work. Write again.
Overdosing on content consumption can be toxic unless it is met with near equal content creation. Show up for the people that need to hear your message.
Don't dwell.
Self discipline can only be mastered when you decide it MUST be mastered.
You can't win if you care what other people think. You can't even attempt change if you care what other people think.
Journey on, my friend.
P.S. When I was 21, I asked a successful consultant about starting a business. He said, "Starting a business is easy. Running a business is hard."
Another quote I love: "Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become." - Jim Rohn.
